30 Days of Wonderful™ in December ~ Day 23

2011 by

I’m up late again, with many things to finish before I head to my home Island tomorrow morning. I have inspirational YouTube videos playing, presents scattered in the room that I am wrapping up, and all of the clothes I’ll pack for Christmas.

You must be happy in this very moment, because it determines the course of the rest of your life.

Sometimes there are people in my life who say things that make me feel insecure or feel like I’ve done something wrong (the perfectionist in me has a hard time with this). I used to stay upset with what these people said, but I’ve come to realize that if I dwell on the interaction too long, it slows down my huge dreams. It’s important to find something joyful to give my energy to, and get over the interaction that shook me up. Europe is more important. So are my wonderful meals. They are worth more than a small event that didn’t feel good. Before I sleep tonight, I’m going to raise my energy and feel really happy about my life. Each thing that I do for myself is like eating a piece of candy, whether I’m listening to one song, watching my MindMovie, or indulging in a piece of food that I love.

30 Days of Wonderful™ in December ~ Day 22

2011 by

On the winter solstice, Dylan was moving the seats around in his new car, and as he put them back into place, a silver pendant dropped onto the floor. It was a popular round depiction of the Mayan sun god, which you’ve probably seen before. I think it’s interesting that on the darkest day of the year, the Mayan sun god drops into our life. A friend of mine knows Mayan culture deeply, and I’ll ask her more about this coincidence when I see her on Tuesday.

It’s deep in the darkest part of the year right now. You are allowed to sleep, and I am allowed to nap if I desire. We’re at a time where we can’t expect the body to stay energized for as many hours as we did in the summertime. Stay cozy. Light a fire. Sit with hot tea. Appreciate this wintertime as your opportunity to grow internally. When spring comes, we all get to shoot up, surprise everyone with the amazing things that we have been up to, and in surprise, they will all ask, “What happened to you!?”

30 Days of Wonderful™ in December ~ Day 20

2011 by

I’ve set the date for my first appointment with my new business coach at the start of January 2012. What I’ve learned over the past year is that the best investment we can make is in ourselves. I’ve rarely invested in physical objects during my life. Instead, I’ve bought trips to Europe, 2 months in India, a weekend of the Landmark Forum, my nutrition training, and coaching programs that grew my vision of what is possible for me. I can’t wait to have this “me time!”

I am also very grateful for a few other things right now:

1. There were free samples of medicinal mushroom supplements at Radiance Herbs and Massage today. Wild mushrooms were a huge part of my whole food supplementation 2 years ago, and I didn’t get sick once that year! I’m carrying them around in my purse now.

2. I just discovered Weleda brand wild rose oil. It has a gentle and natural scent of roses, without that fake perfume smell that is so irritating.

I’d like to share a few of the songs that I’ve been inspired by throughout this month. I don’t suggest watching these music videos. Just click the link and play them on a new tab of your internet. Let your mind create the “video” that inspires you.

30 Days of Wonderful™ in December ~ Day 18

2011 by

The wonderful things from today:

1. I feel very supported and appreciated by my Mastermind group of 134 members. I send you all so much love as my year with you comes to a close.

The antique class bear bank from my Grandma. It's full of American coins, and a few notes from Lebanon.

2. Quarters keep showing up in my pockets, and when they do, I plop them in my antique glass bear bank that my Grandma once owned.

3. I was gifted with money today, and plan to buy myself some Christmas gifts tomorrow.

4. I was treated to 2 meals out. Dylan surprised me with more Indian food for lunch, and then I joined several funny ladies for a night at a new pizza restaurant in Olympia that has gluten-free crusts.

5. Earlier in the week, I had made the intention that I would like some new clothes before Christmas. Within just a day or 2, I was given a beautiful shimmery tank top, which I wore this evening.

Would you like to hear a little bit of the dialogue that was running through my head at dinner?

(Oh my God! It must be true. I’m moving to Europe. Can’t wait. Yes! Aaaah! I’m smiling a huge smile. Oh wow, I’m gonna be on television. Yikes – this is awesome. I will get to spend hours talking after each meal. The wait staff will let me eat for as long as I want and won’t ask to take my plate until I tell them I’m ready. My clients are going to fly in and see me! I will wake up to amazing views. Munich. Paris, Geneva. We get to kiss on the cheek to say hello. Strolling along boardwalks. Waterfalls from the Alps. I am going! And where I am right now is just as delicious.)
